The news is out. B&M will be doing Doctor and Dalek sets.
"For action figure fans,Character Options presents a set of three unique Doctor & Dalek Twin Packs, inspired by the Doctor Who audio series from Big Finish. This includes a brand new take on the Eighth Doctor, plus the Dalek Interrogator Prime, as featured in Big Finish audio book story In the Garden of Death. The two additional Doctor and Daleks sets to be released from this range will feature the Seventh and War Doctors respectively."
What are you all hoping for?

Dalek Time Controller and the Stained Glass Dalek from Order Of The Daleks have to be my picks. Time Controller has a great look and has played such a vital part in BF's Dalek lore. Stained Glass Dalek would be a logistical nightmare I'm sure but come on - it's stunning. Was it a Chris Thompson piece kennysmith ? I've got the Real Time Colin figure which I always counted as a BF figure myself, maybe you can say it's a BBCWW figure since they made the animation but it's BF who recorded and sold Real Time so it counts for me! It's probably my favourite DW figure but my other fave Colin figure is the "Change my Dear..." one. Lovely.

Ah I used to be quite interested in action figures but drifted off as they became pure exclusives (I am yet to find a B&M store).
Surprised by the specific inclusion of a Interrogator Prime, I never got the impression from the story that any of the Daleks looked any different to the norm. Must have missed a beat.

Just on the subject, my all time favourites might be the two Colins above but these are up there - the monochrome Hartnell and Troughton figures with a black and white Dalek and Cyber (bit lazy making a Cyberman monochrome but hey!) Hopefully I can get an 8-time controller set and a 6-stained glass to join them! Oh and look - Doctor Who merch that uses the current TV series logo...and the sky didn't fall in! Someone tell the moaners about the Jodie logo being used for all the branding it's nothing new, and the Target novels were doing the same in the 80s!

Gotta catch them all... I think I will be very happy finally getting my hands on the 8th Doctor in his BF gear, by far my favorite costume for him. Plus I hope he gets the fitting screwdriver. Just to make sure, we from far away lands will be able to order these online, won’t we?

I used to be very much into collecting the figures back in the day, but I lost interest when they changed the size in the late Smith/early Capaldi era, and when they went back to 5" they only seemed to release new ones occasionally so I never really had my interest reignited. Still, I'm interested to see what these BF ones look like.

Imagine an 8 and Lucie set with a Dalek from Blood Of The Daleks.....instant pre-order! Or, to go a bit deep cuts, McGann with top hat and beard from Other Lives. I may be the only one who considers that a truly great story but I'd buy it!

When this breaks on wider Social Media the reaction is sure to be interesting. Regards mark687 I think wider social media will scroll past this kinda thing on their FB and not think twice - which isn't a dampener on things, just acknowledging we're not talking mainstream news. A lot of people dropped off the figures when Character Options went from 5.5" figures to 3.75" sadly and the lines have been threadbare compared to a few years ago. I'd hope these are in the 5.5" size, the ones that are targeted at collectors in the past few years have been but we've had less and less figures in general - the Bill Potts one only came out this year nearly 2 years after she left the show. Compare that to the Tennant era where we had figures for characters as small as Cassandra and Novice Hame in shops days after they were on telly We got a Jodie figure for S11 but nothing for companions or guest characters. A Rosa Parks figure might have been odd! But yeah, if this was 10 years ago we'd have seen Tim Shaw figures all over the place and cuddly P'tings. That kid audience that supports more releases doesn't seem to be there as much now sadly.

So it just Doctor & Daleks? I would want some of the other characters, Jago & Litefoot for example.

I sorry if I'm coming across as down on it but it doesn't appeal.
Anyone who wants them enjoy.

It could’ve been an easy gift to my mum to keep her cuddly adipose company.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

But sadly the action figure market has been driven to be so niche now because so much of the lucrative younger market share is going on awful Funko Pops. There's a dedicated market though for quality figures looking as authentic as possible, as there is with vinyl, so if BF target that - quids in!
