I love the idea of a multi-Master story. One thing I'd like to know though is if you could just get The Two Masters first then buy the other parts later. I would love to be able to get all three parts as they come out but you've got to be picky with money, especially when it's buying/pre-ordering new stuff. Hopefully they've made the connected trilogy in such a way that you could listen to The Two Masters without having to have listened to the other two audios. That's certainly what the Locum Doctors did - you gained some perspective and background from the first two but you could listen to The Secret History standalone and not be lost at all.

Wee bit more info: April: And You Will Obey Me sees Five go to the Beever's Master supposed final resting place I can't get my head around that. Is he supposed to think that Anthony Ainley's Master had his old body in a cupboard or something? Hmm... title suggests something "Mind of Evil"-ish, perhaps?

Lol, only gets it out for Halloween I'm thinking he is informed that the Master has been killed but isn't sure which one. It just turns out to be a future Master, probably post-Mastermind if I am on the right track. Or 5 gets a bit morbid one day and decides to find out when his old mate actually dies for good, and to his surprise, he's still not dead.

I'd ague that a big part of the Locum Doctor trilogy was that they were not more interconnected. I like to think this Two Masters trilogy is a going away gift to all of us who lived on the old BF forum. Since we were the ones who asked about it so much in letters & posts. Anyway, great news. And I'm glad I re-upped my sub. What else was announced in the new DWM? Wasn't what's next for River Song supposed to be in it?

The only River announcement is that there's a new book series - The Legends Of River Song. That kicks off with a short story compilation and I'd be surprised if there wasn't some intention to make it an ongoing. Bit odd that River gets books right after he BF debut. Would be nice to have had some exclusivity for a while but hey.

The only problem with that is: what more can you really do after The Legends of River Song? The Legends of the Doctor obviously and Legends of Captain Jack maybe but after that it would become a bit limited as a range. There aren't many characters whose potential adventures could be called 'legends' in the Whoniverse.

EDIT: I wonder if Dorney's title is a biblical reference...? {Spoiler}Matthew 6:24 Given the Master's pseudonym in Dark Eyes 2, "Mr. God" and "Mr. Mammon" seem like reasonably plausible nom de guerres.

I'm down for "The Legends Of Shona fae Last Christmas" Who wouldn't be? I *loved* Last Christmas (being of sound mind and impeccable taste) but I've never got the singling out of Shona thing. I thought everyone was great.

It's really hard not to preorder now but just waiting for info on later MR to see if I want to subscribe. Ah the temptation.
