Nyssa would be a bit of a stretch surely? Not if you like Nyssa as much as I do. I'm sure we could work something out? Or not. I just really like Nyssa - and Adric. What about a story set on Traken between Keeper and Logopolis? Mind you there'd be a lot of "Where's Tremas?"

Having a new companion is excellent news. Tom Baker the person has a rather charming and flirty personality, so matching him with a lady companion he is fond of in reality is smart casting.
I too would like to see new stories involving the various younger companions of the Fourth Doctor's last season. Big Finish with regards to the Fourth Doctor appears to have heard the fans in a number of ways: longer stories, a new companion, less plot holes, better pricing, more Tom over all. More Adric and maybe Nyssa, with and without Romana and K-9, seems like it would be completing a new cycle with those actors still present from the past.

I wonder if series 10 is in the can and if work is proceeding on future seasons.

That will be one of the releases other than The First Doctor Adventures featuring the first incarnation of the Master then.

Interesting....I did wonder if Big Finish would treat the Fist Doctor Adventures as an alternative universe series. Not going out and saying one way or another, however if their new Master is appearing with the other Doctors then my original thought has been dispelled.
I had the notion that this series had been recorded awhile ago, so surely this meeting with the First Master must be for so pmething else!
I am always happy for more Tom Baker, Fourth Doctor.

Still struggling to believe James Dreyfus....Tom from Gimme Gimme Gimme and Contable Goody from The Thin Blue Line....is the first Master. That the incarnation it all started with and who had all that history with The Doctor....was James Dreyfus. Overseas fans might not get how odd that is.
By all means, I like outside the box thinking but James is at once the last person I would have thought of and yet oddly perfect for it.

I am really looking forward to hearing him as I hope he will surprise. I confess that when I first heard who it was I did think to myself it will sound like - Carry on Doctor with Kenneth Williams as the Master!

I've heard him do more subdued, naturalistic stuff and he was fine. A friend of mine saw him do Harvey on stage and said he was terrific. I'm looking forward to it. It'll just take some getting used to. A bit like John Simm being The Master when I was still grieving Sam Tyler.

I suppose we could get a series 9 announcement any time now.

I suppose we could get a series 9 announcement any time now. We still haven't had full story details and cast of any Covers for Series 7 but agreed Series 9 could be up for pre-order before the years is out.

I'd have to go digging but I know I read something where Dreyfus is quoted as saying the 1st Master is the most dangerous one we have seen. I'm becoming more & more interested in hearing the stories featuring him.

I was thinking that today. About not having any covers or trailers for the 4th Doctor box due in a month or so that is.

Mind you there'd be a lot of "Where's Tremas?" Could make for a very interesting story seed: Nyssa searching for her father throughout the Traken Union. There's a lot of gravitas to that scene aboard the TARDIS with Adric where the whole world disappears... I bet you one better could be done if we knew some of the other places in the Union as well. A certain amount of time seems to pass between Keeper and Logopolis too. The Doctor going from eager to be back at home in one story to despondent in the next. I'm always tempted to stick the grimmer Parkhouse comics in that gap to pace it out. Maybe he dropped Adric off somewhere temporarily while he went to deliver K9 to Sarah Jane?

Guardians of Prophecy reveals there's only one surviving world, Serenity. Seeding hints of the Fourth Doctor weakening, or sensing his impending fate would be nice, like how there are things in late First Doctor stories foreshadowing his death.

Oh I absolutely think there should be a doom and gloom season of Fourth Doc stories with Adric and K9.3 that end with him taking K9 to Sarah and planning his trip to Logopolis. That's the gap I'd jump at right away if I had a hand in making a Fourth Doc series.

And Serenity is having its own D&D-style problems by then. But I meant before Logopolis, when the Union is still going strong. Well, that was the thought behind putting The Neutron Knights and its like at some point during Season 18. The final line in that comic seems extremely apropos for transitioning into the more sombre Doctor at the beginning of either The Leisure Hive or Logopolis:

These are amazing ideas for a darker Fourth Doctor.
I recall this quote - The Doctor: "So... For all my knowledge... For all the technology at my disposal, I still have no way of foreseeing the most unpredictable thing of all... My own future!"
What a great set-up for the Fourth Doctor's final arch that ends with Logopolis.

Some of them are seriously bleak. End of the Line especially. If you put those as a bridge for the Fourth Doctor heading into his darker, more somber final season, I think it fits nicely.
