Pretty interesting guest cast for this one in terms of characters rather than actors. Not one or two but three real-life people all of whom could have sustained a Celebrity Historical on their own.
{Spoiler} Charles Babbage inventor of the first computer, Ada Lovelace another pioneer in the field of computing (and Lord Byron's daughter) and Noor Inyat Khan who you should look upon Wikipedia because she was pretty damn amazing.

Interesting. .Someone on facebook has just posted they have seen an advance screening of ep 2. They must work for BBC or something. He gave NIL spoilers but said he can understand how the Master appears to be "like he is" in that 5-10 min scene. He sort of intimated that he is fleshed out well in this ep.
Interesting. I guess we shall see.

The guy was fending off questions about how "manic" the Master appeared to be in the plane scene.
This ep is on tomorrow right (?)

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

We’re getting it on Thursday night, according to the guide at the ABC’s site. Should be on iview in the morning though, I hope.

So you can fool the Doc as long as you don't tell her how your fooling her?
And G's gone again!
Some more thoughts
Companions worked well as a UNIT (pun intended)
Lovelace and Khan worked well (Master Not Killing Khan was intriguing especially if its all a lie why preserve History?)
Waste of Lenny Henry for yet another Social Media Bad Troup
Too much of the OTT Master makes his veiled comment about living through the 20th Century as he is now have less impact then they were going for.

{Spoiler} Well RIP Gallifrey, again.
All in all I thought that was quite good. The two historical figures worked with the Doctor (I found her more interesting away from her fam), the new Master came across well and the Barton plot was paid off well (and he seemingly got away, to return later in the series?).
Very intrigued as to where this is going. The founding fathers of Gallifrey lied about the Timeless Child...

Hello again.
Okay no spoilers. That was interesting. More explanation than action. Sacha Dwahan is excellent, more please. I enjoyed the historical aspects, it all connected up well. And there is obviously a new arc this season which gave Jodie Whittaker her most effective scenes so far. Interesting conclusion, with a lot of unanswered questions.

Oh, no, not again..... Come on, Chibbers, think up something original! Gallifrey destroyed, founding fathers of Gallifrey lied, blah blah blah, we've heard it all before!
And no more deus ex machina, please. I noticed at seven minutes to eight there wasn't enough time for the Doctor to solve everything, but doing it off screen is cheating.
Also not keen on the historical figures, who were rather underused (especially Noor Inyat Khan, whose connection the history of computing eludes me).
On the plus side, Lenny Henry perked up a bit.

That was awesome! Would've like a bit more insight into Barton's motivation, but the two teams on the lamb through space and time was so good. They gave both plots a good deal of space to breath so the characters could really interact; some great scenes between Fam, and the Doctor/Master. Not sure how I feel about Gallifrey being destroyed again so soon after being resurrected but I'm definitly intrigued with where things are going. I think Sacha Dhawan might be my favorite New Who Master so far. He's like a deranged monster that's barley containing his true nature within his refined shell.

Well, that was a strong second half! Really enjoyed Dhawan's Master in this episode. {Spoiler} I wasn't crazy about Barton's end, with him just getting away, so hopefully we'll have some follow-up to that in the future.
I liked what was done with the fam, with them going on the run on their own and trying to play Doctor, so I was disappointed that they just got to the warehouse and then just got stuck there until the Doctor showed up and saved the day.
Also, Gallifrey being destroyed... again? I rolled my eyes, I have to admit. I kind of get the feeling that Chibnall wasn't crazy about some of Moffat's decisions/era, because we've had a fair few references to RTD's era since he took over, but I'm not sure we've had anything from Moffat's era referenced. That, the fact he's practically ignored Missy's redemption, and that he's destroyed Gallifrey after Moffat brought it back... Maybe it's just me.
I figured that this Timeless Child business was going to be going back in the Doctor's/Gallifrey's history, which I'm not crazy about, so let's see how this plays out. Also, Chibnall gets bonus points for not contradicting The Enchantress of Numbers!

Hello again.
I agree with Christmastrenzalore that Sacha Dhawan is a great iteration of the Master. The psychotic vengeful nature is evident throughout but Dwahan is good at holding back this fury. I really hope he returns, he and Jodie together were electric in their scenes together. Now, what I need is someone with a degree in Masterology to tell me where he fits in to the existing Master incarnation chart. Thank you.

Returning to Gallifrey & discovering the truth drove him psychotic again.

Loved it. Fast paced, timey Whimey, some real tension between the Doctor & the Master plus a nice classic comeuppance for the Master. {Spoiler} Yes, the destruction of Gallifrey again was a bit cheesy but hopefully bwe will see a good explanation bas to why the Master did it. I'm thinking this big revelation is what turned the Master evil again.

Incarnations of the Master 1: Hughes 2-11: Dreyfus (We’ve no idea which number he is, but Dorney keeps insisting he’s not the first) 12: Delgado 13: Pratt/Beevers 13-Tremas: Ainley 13-Tzun: [New Adventures] 13-Post Tremas: Beevers 13-Deathworm Morphant: Roberts/[DWM Comics]/Beevers 14: MacQueen 15: [Titan Comics] 16: Jacobi 17: Simm 18: Gomez 19: Dhawan
