It airs today (thread here). Edit: Ignore. Dalek, if you've been corrected on a minor detail, you don't need to respond with an 'ignore' comment. You can just leave it as is. No one's going to question it.

I think you're reading an edited post. It probably said more originally and then it was wiped out and replaced with this edit note. I for one wish the forum let people delete their own posts. It would avoid random looking posts like the one being discussed.

That's what I thought, be useful if people could check for us. The option to delete should be under the "cog" button. Sorry for the off-topic addition Cheers Tony EDIT: Yes, there is the option to delete your own posts (under the "cog" button, delete post)

One spoiler, based entirely on my conjecturing ... {Spoiler} Just seen the trailer for this. Mentions of the fluid link, conversations where Nardole tells the Doctor something, the Doctor asks, "Who told you that?" Nardole replies, "You did..."
The 'you' is the First incarnation of the Doctor, as played by David Bradley. He's who is trapped in the vault - I'll put 20 pence on it!

My problem with the First Doctor theory is why would The 12th Doctor lock his first incarnation in the vault? That would be suicidal if his body started to 'wear a bit thin' in there before the events of The Tenth Planet/before he returns to the Tenth Planet events (I believe there is a gap where he could have left during the adventure). How would the First Doctor even think towards this? I think it would be a bit insulting to Peter Capaldi to show the First Doctor fuming with his Doctor (and I mean beyond Multi-Doctor bickering here). Yet anger would be the most natural reaction.

I think if it is The Doctor it is more likely to be 13, because 12 doesn't want to regenerate and he's trying to hide the truth that he will at some point from himself. He's trying to pretend he doesn't know that he will regenerate.

Or, in the vault is The Watcher that will become 13, because the Doctor knows a catastrophe is coming and this time he has prepared for that moment, with the ultimate 'get out of jail card' ready and waiting...

Yes I could see either of those. Still think it's John Simm though.
