An 'ancient' pyramid appears overnight. Every clock in the world begins counting down to the Earth's destruction. Three opposing armies lie ready to annihilate each other. An alien race stands ready to offer humanity a deal that could save them, but also enslave them. It's a terrifying race against time to save the world. Will the Doctor be forced to accept their help?

I hope this is better than the first part. Extremis was too convoluted and weird.

Here is hoping the run of excellent episodes continues. Extremis was fan freaking-tastic. Big, bold, strange, weird and creepy.

I don't really concern myself with plot holes. There are exceptions of course but I don't let stuff like that hang me up. I'm more interested in characters saying interesting things and doing interesting stuff.

It's more important that these cuts are made for sensitivity than for them to be released with the line still in.

The TV Movie's releases have been purely for the fan base bar its original release, whereas the new series releases are for casual viewers primarily.

Question Was Robot of sherwood released uncut in any format. I have the bbc preview so I never got to see the cut version. I fully understood the initial cut when times were sensitive but I never understood why they released the cut version in the DVD many months later, especially when it's plot point revelation?

Purely for the fan base? And there was me thinking that seeing it on the shelves in shops was generally for anyone wanting to buy it through their choice be they fan or not.

If that's what you like to tell yourself, then fine but you'd be wrong to underestimate the buying public that like to buy DVDs of shows that they like to watch, fan or not, they do care. I have a friend who's not a fan in any way but he doesn't like the new series and therefor doesn't watch the new series, even though I recommend to him that this week's (and so forth) is really worth a watch but as a casual viewer he just can't take to it but will quite happily sit through a classic story transmitted on the Horror Channel. Anyway, this has nothing to do with edits being reinstated back into the narrative, it's just you saying that the new series is better to you than the classic series is. As I said, it didn't stop the TV Movie being released uncut for anyone to buy, not just 'the fans'.

A product on sale can be bought by whoever wants it.
