Prediction Corner:
The lead into the titles is Missy saying some variant of 'Hello, I'm The Doctor'.

(Don't think its the Pre-Titles scene though I think that's going to be:
A Figure in shadow works a computer as the Tombs rumble into life Tomb of the Cyberman style awakening. Figure emerges from shadows it's Simm Master.
"Right then, lets go and kill Me")

You know, I thought the title "World Enough and Time" sounded familiar. It's the title of the third episode in the second River Song box set.

Star Trek: New Voyages used it as a title a decade before BF or the Beeb - and George Takei's in that one.

It was also the place where the phrase "Time's wingèd chariot" was coined.
"But at my back I always hear Time's wingèd chariot hurrying near; And yonder all before us lie Deserts of vast eternity."
That's pretty appropriate.

Still seems almost unreal that Simm is returning. He's not far off Eccleston when it comes to not going back to do multiple series and returning to old roles, as any Life On Mars fan knows. When he said he felt like he could only play The Master against David, I believed him - and I'm sure he meant it - but I'm so glad he did have a volte-face. He'll always be Kendall from Men Of The World to me though.

I am more surprised because after this long I didn't think he would be asked. I think Simm doesn't want to be tied to a series for too long which is why he decide to not do season 3 of Life on Mars but the Master was always more of a recurring role. Men of the World is actually one of the few things I have not seen of Simm's (except some random clips) and I've seen some very obscure things that he did early in his career.

I'm surprised how much I'm looking forward to him returning. I really didn't like a lot of the humour and face-pulling of his Sound of the Drums appearance and surrounding stories, found he had improved in David Tennant's finale (his fury at the Time Lords showed John Simm playing it as he should have been allowed to all along), but all in all, I much prefer Missy. And yet having read that Simm himself wanted to play it darker makes me feel his return in World Enough and Time (strange title) could be really something.

Doctor Who World Enough and Time: "One of the best episodes since the show returned – and certainly one of the darkest." Radio Times have this to say about Saturday's episode in a spoiler-free preview ...

I think Bill is going to be converted into a Cyberman. That's obvious from the Trailers where you can see the shape of the Cyberman chest-unit under her hospital gown. The real question is will Moffat hit the Reset Button to undo it this week or next?

The real question is will Moffat hit the Reset Button to undo it this week or next? If you mean, will the Doctor find a way of saving her, I'm looking forward to finding out. That's if she is to be converted into a Cyberman!

It's very, VERY mid-90s, Laddish and Cool Britannia era telly but I loved it at the time. John was hilarious in it and David Threlfall was, well, he's always great. I got a massive kick when John and David reunited for the Code Of A Killer drama a couple of years ago - I think I was the only person excited for a Men Of The World reunion. Lis Sladen was even in one ep. "How can I hold my head high, avoiding the cracks in the pavement..."

So much more interesting than Jacobi's.
